*
Astral Spirit can give Elder Titan a lot of damage and movement speed if Nature's Prophet sends all of his Treants together.
* Not only does
Echo Stomp prevent Nature's Prophet from escaping using Teleportation, but
Astral Spirit can be used to bypass Sprout and cancel Teleportation with it's own
Echo Stomp from long distances.
*
Earth Splitter can clear Nature's Prophet's Treants effectively.
*
Echo Stomp can completely disable multiple Meepos for 5 seconds.
*
Astral Spirit will affect Meepo clones, as they don’t count as illusions. Elder Titan can receive a massive amount of damage, armor and movement speed from each Meepo.
* With
Natural Order, Elder Titan’s mere existence causes Meepo to be disadvantaged, due to the aura that completely negates his base armor and magic resistance. Combining
Astral Spirit with Natural Order allows Elder Titan to easily kill any Meepo within a second, depending on how much damage he gains from Astral Spirit. This is highly detrimental for Meepo as he is prone to buying items that grant agility like
Disperser and
Eye of Skadi.
*
Earth Splitter deals over 30%/40%/50% of each Meepo’s max hp, and is even stronger if the Meepos are near Elder Titan due to Natural Order.
Additional:
* Meepo lacks the disengages to escape a well-timed Echo Stomp, in particular if Elder Titan is his current target.
* Clones are counted as heroes, increasing massively the power of
Astral Spirit's buffs, including Aghanim's Scepter's spell immunity buff.
* Meepo relies heavily on high agility and his mediocre strength gain makes him a very prized target for Natural Order.
* Meepo and his clones like to group up to hunt and kill in teamfights or ganks and can be easily disabled together with Echo Stomp.
* Shadow Fiend can easily farm his treants and get easy Necromastery Stacks.
* If Shadow Fiend buys
Boots of Travel and
Shadow Blade, he can counteract Nature's Prophet's split-push.
* Shadow Fiend can easily focus down and kill one of the Meepos.
* The amount of damage from Shadow Fiend's AoE spells makes Meepo vulnerable in every aspect.
*
Firefly can be used to clear Nature's Prophet's Treants and allows Batrider destroy Sprout's trees.
*
Flaming Lasso prevents Nature's Prophet from escaping using Teleportation.
* Flaming Lasso is the perfect tool to isolate a single Meepo and focus him.
* Jakiro's
Macropyre can help him to escape from Sprout and quickly clears Treants.
* Jakiro can disrupt Nature's Prophet's escape attempt with Sprout and Teleportation by using
Ice Path.
Additional:
* Jakiro's skill arsenal can ruin Nature's Prophet's gameplay: Dual Breath and Liquid Fire can clear treants from
Nature's Call while simultaneously slowing Nature's Prophet, Ice Path can disrupt Nature's Prophet's escaping attempt with
Teleportation, and Macropyre can easily clear treants from
Nature's Call.
* Jakiro is a common
Hurricane Pike wielder, which allows him to escape from
Sprout.
* All of Jakiro's skills are Area of Effect, which can easily affect all Meepos in a targeted area.
* Treants increase Echo Slam's damage.
* Earthshaker's AoE stuns can hit Nature's Prophet through
Sprout, without having direct line of sight, in order to interrupt
Teleportation.
Additional:
*
Echo Slam can do a lot of damage to Nature's Prophet and his teammates if they stand close to his Treants.
* Each of Meepo's clones count as real heroes, meaning that an Echo Slam hitting them will deal catastrophic damage to Meepo and his team.
* Eathshaker's AoE stuns can interrupt Meepo's
Poof cast animation.
Additional:
*
Echo Slam will deal catastrophic damage against a cluster of Meepos and anyone nearby.
*
Aftershock allows Earthshaker's abilities to potentially stun any number of Meepos for a fairly long duration, often enough to finish one off.
* With Caustic Finale, Sand King can easily kill the treants from
Nature's Call.
* Burrowstrike allows Sand King to prevent Nature's Prophet from using
Teleportation inside of his
Sprout.
Additional:
* Sand King's
Caustic Finale combined with
Sand Storm will kill Treants easily.
* Sand King can interrupt Teleportation with
Burrowstrike, even through Sprout.
* Burrowstrike can stun multiple Meepos, making them vulnerable targets.
* Epicenter and Sand Storm's AoE damage ensures all Meepo clones get damaged, making it hard for Meepo to choose which one to flee as all are taking damage at the same rate.
* Just be aware when using Sand Storm to escape, as Meepo has good AoE damage and disables, which, as explained in the "Bad Against" section, works well against an invisible Sand King.
* Clockwerk's long range initiation and catch makes it incredibly difficult for Nature's Prophet to split push and show on the map alone.
*
Rocket Flare can be used to scout Nature's Prophet if he is hiding in the forest, and can provide vision inside of Sprout.
* Because only one clone needs to be killed in order to kill Meepo, heroes that excel at singling out enemies can also be a detriment to him, such as
Batrider,
Beastmaster,
Pudge and
Clockwerk.
* Heroes that rely on summons will suffer against Ion Shell, which kills them very quickly:
Beastmaster,
Broodmother,
Enigma,
Nature's Prophet,
Visage,
Warlock,
Wraith King.
* Dark Seer can take great advantage of
Divided We Stand by putting an Ion Shell on a clone in order to harass them effectively.
* Vacuum can take a single Meepo and disable him for Dark Seer and his teammates to take out.
* Heroes with summons and illusions can find themselves easily bested by Lina, like
Broodmother,
Nature's Prophet,
Chen,
Terrorblade,
Naga Siren,
Visage,
Wraith King,
Lycan,
Phantom Lancer,
Shadow Shaman.
Additional:
* Lina can easily prevent Nature's Prophet's Teleportation escape attempts with
Light Strike Array, and can clear Sprout's trees instantly.
* Lina's
Dragon Slave and
Light Strike Array can kill Nature's Prophet's Treants.
* Light Strike Array can catch Meepo and his clones off-guard if he tries to gank Lina with
Earthbind &
Poof.
* Laguna Blade can quickly kill Meepo and his clones before they escape with
Poof.
* Berserker's Call and Counter Helix will still hit targets inside of a defensive
Sprout.
* Counter Helix clears treants in no time.
* Nature's Prophet's low damage is unlikely to hurt Axe until the very late game.
* Nature's Prophet's low mobility makes him very easy for Axe to chase down or initiate, especially when affected by Battle Hunger.
* Melee heroes who rely on summons, illusions, or clones will trigger Counter Helix more often, thus taking more damage:
Meepo,
Lycan,
Phantom Lancer
Additional:
* The combination of
Counter Helix and
Berserker's Call can disable multiple Meepos and deal heavy area damage.
* Axe's natural high survivability makes it difficult to burst him down with Poof or chip away at his health with Ransack.
* Heroes who lack burst damage will have a hard time against Mars:
Phantom Lancer,
Nature's Prophet,
Lich.
*
Bulwark blocks the attack from Meepo and his clones.
*
Spear of Mars &
God's Rebuke prevents Meepo and his clones from initiation or escaping.
* Heroes who summon multiple units that are not spell immune.
Nature's Prophet,
Lycan,
Beastmaster
* Pulse Nova deals an insane amount of damage in an area around him, which can quickly wear down Meepo clones.
* Leshrac can catch multiple Meepos in Split Earth and follow up with the rest of his area damage spells making Meepo unable to get close to Leshrac.
* Diabolic Edict is a strong ability that can wear down a lone Meepo clone quickly.
* Heroes that have AoE damage:
Lina,
Keeper of the Light,
Timbersaw,
Leshrac,
Bristleback,
Axe.
* Quill Spray usually hits Meepo's clones, although Bristleback cannot turn his back when rooted with
Earthbind.
* Similarly, heroes with low cooldown teleports can be afraid to split push against X Marks the Spot, such as
Tinker and
Nature's Prophet.
* In general, highly mobile heroes like
Earth Spirit or
Storm Spirit are at a disadvantage against X Marks the Spot.
* Similarly, heroes with low cooldown teleports can be afraid to split push against X Marks the Spot, such as
Tinker and
Nature's Prophet.
* X Marks the Spot is good to prevent a single meepo from escaping from a deadly situation.
* Tidebringer, Torrent and Ghostship destroys Meepo's clones.
Additional:
*
Tidebringer's cleave damage can wear down Meepo's clones quickly. It can also give Meepo problems in the lane, due to his melee range and initially low health pool.
*
Ghostship and
Torrent can effectively disable Meepo while dealing heavy damage.
*
X Marks the Spot prevents attempts to escape using Poof.
*
Broodmother,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Lancer by their nature offer very good target for Splinter Blast and Winter's Curse.
*
Winter's Curse in late game is pretty much the end for Meepo or any of his nearby allies. Natural counter for Winter's Curse like
Linken's Sphere or
Lotus Orb is meaningless to her if she can land it on one of Meepo's clones.
Additional:
* Meepo's clones usually gets grouped in teamfight making any of them ideal target for Winter's Curse, forcing Meepo to literally kill himself. Also, unlike other heroes he cannot protect himself with
Linken's Sphere.
* While Meepo's clones are grouped up, Splinter Blast will hit almost every clone, slowing Meepo and making him easier to fight.
* Nature's Prophet's
Sprout can be broken by Muerta's
Dead Shot.
*
Gunslinger will quickly dispatch of the Treants from
Nature's Call.
*
The Calling will greatly reduce the potential damage Treants can do.
* Heroes that have doubles or clones such as
Arc Warden,
Meepo or
Lone Druid are vulnerable to Muerta's
Gunslinger.
* Doom can eats Nature's Prophet's treants with
Devour and gains lots of gold.
* Doom can buy
Radiance or use his
Scorched Earth to quickly wipe out a swarm of Treants.
*
Doom and a ministun from
Infernal Blade's prevents Nature's Prophet from escaping with Sprout and Teleportation.
* Besides
Lone Druid and
Meepo, Doom is potentially good versus every hero since Doom will render any hero helpless for up to 16 seconds. This is particularly true for fragile heroes that heavily rely on mobility to stay alive.
*
Firestorm makes quick work of Treants and
Atrophy Aura gives him temporary damage for every Treant killed.
*
Pit of Malice can stop Teleportation channeling.
*
Atrophy Aura greatly reduces Nature's Prophet's damage and he has no other good way to deal damage.
*
Fiend's Gate can counter split-pushing, which is something that Nature's Prophet relies on a lot.
Fiend's Gate can also be used to either escape from Nature's Prophet or to prepare an ambush on Nature's Prophet, and outside from Nature's Wrath, Nature's Prophet has no other ways to intercept arrivals with
Fiend's Gate.
* Heroes without blink mechanisms or spell immunity will have a hard time positioning against
Pit of Malice:
Sven,
Tiny,
Wraith King,
Dragon Knight,
Meepo,
Doom,
Bounty Hunter,
Dark Seer,
Undying,
Alchemist,
Legion Commander.
*
Sleight of Fist with
Battle Fury deals a lot of damage to Nature's Prophet's team if they stand close to his Treants, as well as killing all the Treants with ease.
* Ember Spirit with
Fire Remnant and
Boots of Travel can be very active around the map, which enables him to quickly teleport and defend the objective Nature's Prophet is attacking whenever he tries to push.
Additional:
* Ember Spirit can easily deal with
Nature's Call by using his Flame Guard and with
Battle Fury. He also has multiple ways of escaping
Sprout. Additionally, Ember Spirit can break
Sprout's trees with Activate Fire Remnant and interrupt
Teleportation with Searing Chains.
*
Sleight of Fist combined with
Battle Fury,
Maelstrom and
Daedalus will allow Ember Spirit to make a quick work of Meepo if his clones are crowded around each other.
*
Searing Chains interrupts Meepo's initiating because Meepo's clones do not have spell immunity.
Additional:
* Meepo is quite fragile in the early game and can be easily taken down by Flame Guard's and Searing Chains' damage. Later on, Meepo is very vulnerable to Sleight of Fist's damage due to
Battle Fury's cleave on multiple Meepos.
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal:
Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
* Most summons and illusions can barely hurt Tidehunter at all, after their attacks get reduced by Anchor Smash and blocked by Kraken Shell:
Nature's Prophet,
Enigma
* Also Ravage's large area of effect and damage can easily damage all those units at once, or just straight up clear them.
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once:
Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
* Heroes with cleave damage:
Sven,
Magnus,
Kunkka.
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as
Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
Additional:
* Meepo is vulnerable to area damage and disables from Magnus himself as well as his team through Empower.
* Mass summoning heroes:
Broodmother,
Nature's Prophet and
Enigma all have summons Puck can clear with Illusory Orb and Waning Rift instantly, due to their summons having low health.
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as
Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
* Avalanche and Toss prevents Meepo's from using
Poof to escape.
* Tiny doesn't need to target the weakest clone while he is affected by Tree Grab.
*
Focus Fire can quickly attack target Meepo or clones instanly. Additionally, Windranger can use combinated
Shackleshot and
Focus Fire since Poof wrong landing and stunned from
Shackleshot affected Meepo and clones collateral damege from
Focus Fire.
* Escaping from
Windrun make Earthbind roots can not reach.
* Fatal Bonds links the Meepos together, which combined with area of effect damage or Cleave will be devastating.
* Every Meepo clone adds to Thirst's bonuses.
* Bloodseeker can chase down retreating clones when Meepo tries to cycle weaker clones away from combat.
* With Nether Swap, Vengeful Spirit can isolate one of the Meepos, making him an easier kill for the team.
* Her Magic Missile gives her an easy way to cancel Meepo's
Poof, preventing isolated Meepos from fleeing.
* Starbreaker and Celestial Hammer does high AoE damage which easily clears {U:Treant}, shutting down most of Nature's Prophets damage and pushing power.
* Dawnbreaker can teleport to deal with split-pushing Nature's Prophet and rejoin her team with Solar Guardian when they require it.
* Since Starbreaker clears trees in its path followed by a stun at the end Nature's Prophet will be unable to escape the dangerous situation by using
Sprout on himself and teleporting away with either
Teleportation or
Town Portal Scroll.
Additional:
* Starbreaker and Celestial Hammer does high AoE damage which easily clears {U:Treant}, shutting down most of Nature's Prophets damage and pushing power.
* Dawnbreaker can teleport to deal with split-pushing Nature's Prophet and rejoin her team with Solar Guardian when they require it.
* Since Starbreaker clears trees in its path followed by a stun at the end Nature's Prophet will be unable to escape the dangerous situation by using
Sprout on himself and teleporting away with either
Teleportation or
Town Portal Scroll.
*
Crypt Swarm helps clear waves of Treants.
*
Silence prevents Nature's Prophet from using Sprout or Teleportation.
*
Exorcism kills Treants with ease.
Additional:
*
Crypt Swarm helps clear waves of Treants.
*
Silence prevents Nature's Prophet from using Sprout or Teleportation.
*
Exorcism kills Treants with ease.
*
Time Walk can get out to Sprout.
*
Chronosphere will interupt his Teleportation and Faceless Void's can attack kill him within
Chronosphere.
* Flak Cannon and Call Down will shred Meepo's clones.
* Homing Missile can catch and single out retreating Meepos, making them an easy kill.
*
Sprout will not protect Nature's Prophet from Huskar if he has already locked on with Life Break.
* Even a farmed Nature's Prophet is usually not durable enough to fight Huskar alone.
*
Io can use
Relocate with an ally to gank Nature's Prophet whenever he tries to push.
Additional:
* Nature's Prophet is extremely easy to gank with Relocate while he's split pushing.
* Tether on a friendly unit can destroy Nature Prophet's trees should he surround himself with
Sprout as a defense.
* Tether helps Io escape from Earthbind even if Meepo has Blink Dagger.
* Io's Spirits can pressure Meepo while laning and will usually hit at least one of his clones.
* Heroes with both illusions and summons, for Io has nothing to deal with multiple enemies at once outside from Spirits's weak area-of-effect:
Beastmaster,
Broodmother,
Chaos Knight,
Lycan,
Naga Siren,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Lancer,
Shadow Shaman,
Terrorblade,
Visage,
Warlock,
Wraith King.
* Heroes with cleave damage:
Sven,
Magnus,
Kunkka.
* Great Cleave will devastate Meepo's clones. Against a closely packed group, Sven does not even need to target the clone with the lowest health.
Additional:
*
Great Cleave and
God's Strength can take down Meepo and his clones very quickly.
* The lack of spell immunity for Meepo's clones makes them vulnerable to
Storm Hammer.
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities:
Sven,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
* If Meepo ganks Lion with Poof and Earthbind, he will be an easy target for
Earth Spike & AoE
Hex from his level 25 talent.
* Once caught in Bear's Entangle, Nature's Prophet cannot escape with
Teleportation.
*
Sprout can't stop her to Rebound.
* Treants can be used as targets for Rebound and Dispose as well.
* Poof won't damage Medusa and she can use Stone Gaze to disable all of Meepo's clones.
* Mystic Snake will easily become the bane of Meepo early game.
*
Sprout will not protect Nature's Prophet from Tree Dance.
* Boundless Strike will interrupt attempts at
Teleportation, and can reach Nature's Prophet inside the tree line.
*
Tree Dance and
Primal Spring allows him to chase a retreating Meepo.
*
Boundless Strike gains critical strike bonuses and
Wukong's Command can take down Meepo and his clones very quickly.
Additional:
* Monkey King can gain
Jingu Mastery stacks on Meepo’s clones from
Divided We Stand.
*
Tree Dance allows him to sneak up on and gank a lone Meepo clone.
* Nature's Prophet's Natures's Call can destroy trees while Monkey King is standing on them with
Tree Dance, which will stun him for a good deal of time.
* Heroes who have summons, which can be quickly cleared by his powerful area of effect skill:
Nature's Prophet,
Enigma,
Lycan
* Pangolier's arsenal deals heavy damage in a wide area, make him deadly even for a Meepo with a high magic resistance.
*
Shield Crash can easily give him a ridiculous 80% damage resistance (Becomes 100% if Pangolier gets his +5% Shield Crash talent, Or there is 5 Meepos), resulting in a near unkillable Pangolier in a short amount of time.
*
Rolling Thunder disrupts Meepo's initiation or escaping.
*
Swashbuckle can hit all of Meepo clones.
*
Lucky Shot can disarm Meepo's clones.
Additional:
* Shield Crash gains its damage reduction bonus from all Meepo clones, and can be used even when rooted, allowing Pangolier to gain a massive amount of damage reduction (even more than 100%).
* With too many clone running around during combat, it is almost impossible for Meepo to avoid Rolling Thunder or Swashbuckle.
* Still, remember that a lone Pangolier can never escape from a ganking Meepo.
* Heroes with powerful rooting abilities will disable most of Pangolier's skills, a bonus point if it pierces spell immunity since it will also be able to stop Pangolier during his Rolling Thunder:
Treant Protector,
Meepo,
Crystal Maiden,
Dark Willow,
Underlord,
Naga Siren
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once:
Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
Additional:
* Casting Bramble Maze on top of Meepo guarantees a root, as it is nearly impossible to leave the thorns with all of Meepo's clones.
* Terrorize and Cursed Crown offer great disables against the grouped Meepos and can prevent them from using
Poof to escape.
* Heroes with invisibility: (
Riki,
Clinkz,
Nyx Assassin.
Additional:
* Nature's Prophet is often by himself. Clinkz can use invisibility to hunt him down and kill him, although a Quelling Blade may be needed to cut through his
Sprout. Orchid Malevolence may also be needed if 3-4 seconds are not enough time to kill him, as he can teleport away.
* Clinkz can match Nature's Prophet's ability to split push.
* Heroes with invisibility: (
Riki,
Clinkz,
Nyx Assassin.
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as
Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
* Heroes who can provide True Sight or semi-reveal enemy heroes as Nature's Prophet is prone to buying
Shadow Blade:
Bounty Hunter,
Slardar,
Spectre,
Zeus,
Spirit Breaker.
* Heroes with powerful area-of-effect disables can initiate on Meepo and his clones and shut him down, such as
Enigma,
Invoker,
Magnus,
Puck, and
Sand King.
*
Troll Warlord can root and deal a lot of damage to a single Meepo while lifestealing through the assault from the other Meepos. Meepo needs expensive items like
Ethereal Blade or
Heaven's Halberd to be able to fight him.
* Heroes who produce many summons will have a hard time against Storm's Dispel Magic during teamfight:
Broodmother,
Enigma,
Nature's Prophet.
* Because only one clone needs to be killed in order to kill Meepo, heroes that excel at singling out enemies can also be a detriment to him, such as
Batrider,
Beastmaster,
Pudge and
Clockwerk.
* Naga Siren is a natural split-pusher. With a
Radiance equipped, she will easily keep the lanes pushed out, therefore keeping backdoor protection enabled and preventing Nature's Prophet from dealing building damage.
*
Ensnare can prevent Teleportation.
Aghanim's Scepter upgraded
Ensnare can also affect Nature's Prophet even if he is spell immune. And
Reel In from
Aghanim's Scepter can also be used to separate Nature's Prophet from his treant and bring him close to Naga Siren and her team to burst him down.
*
Song of the Siren will stop Nature's Prophet from escaping even if he has hidden inside of Sprout.
Aghanim's Shard upgraded
Song of the Siren can also heal her allies and save them from Nature's Prophet.
Additional:
* Naga Siren is a natural split-pusher. With Rip Tide, she will easily out-push Nature's Prophet, farming his treants in the process.
*
Ensnare prevents
Teleportation. Even if he hides inside
Sprout, Song of the Siren lasts long enough to prevent him from escaping.
*
Naga Siren's Song of the Siren may be useful but Poof will destroy all of her illusions.
*
Reactive Tazer can lock multiple Meepos in place and prevent them from Poofing.
*
Proximity Mines,
Sticky Bomb and
Blast Off! can deal heavy magic damage to multiple Meepos.
* Heroes with summons like
Broodmother,
Enigma,
Nature's Prophet; or illusions, like
Naga Siren,
Terrorblade are effective at keeping the choke points and rune spawns safe from Proximity Mines.
* Tinker has great map presence because of
Keen Conveyance and
Rearm, which means he can always teleport and defend towers whenever Nature's Prophet tries to push.
*
Laser prevents Nature's Prophet from attacking. Additionally, even with
Monkey King Bar, Nature's Prophet cannot hit towers and buildings during the effect.
*
Tinker who can't fight multiple heroes will suffer greatly against Ransack and Earthbind.
* Undying's
Tombstone will cheerfully chew through treants, incidentally netting you some extra income during fights.
* The above interaction tends to ensure that skirmishes are heavily populated with units, thereby buffing
Soul Rip
*
Meepo can quickly destroy Tombstone thanks to
Divided We Stand.
* Aggressively Poofing and Earthbinding is not going to end well against Venomancer, as he will be an easy target for
Noxious Plague.
* Venomancer's constant slows greatly reduce Meepo's mobility.
* Any hero that can outrange Plague Ward can neutralize them without putting themselves at risk of receiving Poison Sting:
Arc Warden,
Chen,
Clinkz,
Drow Ranger,
Lina,
Mirana,
Nature's Prophet,
Pugna and
Sniper.
* Special mention to heroes that outrange Plague Ward after obtaining talents that increase attack range.
Additional:
* Teleportation allows Natures Prophet to save himself from the damage over time of
Venomous Gale,
Poison Sting and
Poison Nova.
*
Plague Wards can be destroyed with Nature's Prophet's Treants.
*
Viper Strike prevents the lifesteal from Ransack.
* Meepo and his clones have a lack of magic resistance, so they're vulnerable to
Poison Attack &
Viper Strike directed onto one clone.
* Heroes who do not have nor rely on passive abilities make Nethertoxin much less effective:
Clinkz,
Pugna,
Nature's Prophet,
Dark Seer,
Lycan,
Tusk
* Nature's Prophet has no innate way to deal with
Gravekeeper's Cloak or kill {U:Familiar}s effectively.
* Familiars can fly over the trees created by Sprout. They can also use
Stone Form when Nature's Prophet is trying to use Teleportation.
*
Aghanim's Shard upgraded
Stone Form alow allows Visage himself to stun Nature's Prophet whenever he is trying to use Teleportation.
*
Aghanim's Scepter gives Visage
Silent as the Grave ability, which allows him and his {U:Familiar}s to either escape from Nature's Prophet or give him a surprise attack.
Additional:
* Nature's Prophet has no natural method of dealing with Gravekeeper's Cloak and Familiars.
* Familiar's low base attack time can chip away Nature Prophet's health.
* Familiar's Stone Form destroys trees created by
Sprout.
* Familiars can scout woods and foggy areas where Nature's Prophet is trying to use
Teleportation.
* Heroes that can overwhelm Visage by sheer number like
Chaos Knight,
Meepo,
Terrorblade and
Phantom Lancer.
* Heroes who can provide True Sight or semi-reveal enemy heroes as Nature's Prophet is prone to buying
Shadow Blade:
Bounty Hunter,
Slardar,
Spectre,
Zeus,
Spirit Breaker.
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once:
Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
* Slardar does not do well against multiple targets, as his only way to damage multiple targets is Slithereen Crush.
* Meepo's
Earthbind will root Slardar, making him unable to chase/escape for the time being. Also,
Poof's low cooldown and high damage can burst Slardar down rather quickly.
* Sprout with True Sight items (
Sentry Ward or
Dust of Appearance) make it possible to trap Weaver in lane, unless he buys
Quelling Blade or until he unlocks
Time Lapse.
*
The Swarm beetles can be destroyed with Nature's Prophet's Treants.
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal:
Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
* Heroes with summons or illusions makes Sacred Arrow harder to land:
Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Nature's Prophet.
*
Earthbind prevents Mirana from Leaping or going invisible with Moonlight Shadow. She can be easily killed by
Poof and
Ransack while disabled.
* Landing a Sacred Arrow on Meepo does not render him helpless, as all of the other Meepos can still fight back.
*
Nature's Call can be used to tank
Omnislash in the early to mid game due to their high health pool combined.
*
Sprout can trap Juggernaut, even if he is using
Blade Fury. Aghanim's Shard upgraded
Sprout can also prevent Juggernaut from escaping if he buys
Battle Fury.
* Once Nature's prophet reach lv 20 with leash talent on
Sprout, he can stop Juggernaut from escaping with
Blade Fury and TPing away.
* Nature's Prophet can farm and push much faster than Juggernaut, acquiring map control before he can do much.
*
Juggernaut's Omnislash is meaningless for Meepo who can share the damage across clones to save other allies.
* Earthbind can prevent Phoenix from using
Icarus Dive, the only escaping mechanism of this hero.
* Heavy burst damage from Poof can easily kill Phoenix even when it slows down all the Meepos with
Fire Spirits.
* Meepo's clones destroy the Phoenix Sun from
Supernova in no time, even when they are slowed down by
Fire Spirits.
* Meepo's naturally high magic resistance gives Phoenix a hard time with bursting him down. He can even turn the tide if Icarus Dive is on cooldown.
Additional:
* Meepo is unlike any other multi-unit enemy Phoenix may face in the battlefield. Unlike illusion-based heroes like
Phantom Lancer or
Chaos Knight, Meepo's clones are not illusions, meaning they can deal full damage to the Phoenix Sun if all four (or five) are present.
* Necrophos struggles at clearing away durable illusions or summons. Meepo can overwhelm Necrophos with his many duplicates, especially in the later stages of the game, and his
Earthbind will prevent Necrophos from getting away, even if he casts Ghost Shroud.
* Meepo's high burst damage from
Poof can make it difficult for to Necrophos to stay alive, and as Necrophos excels in extended fights, he will not be able to do as much damage as he intends to.
*
Legion Commander's
Overwhelming Odds deals damage for every Treant it hits, which allows it to easily wipe out large waves of them.
* Heroes with global abilities can give Legion Commander's opponent an edge in Duels from anywhere on the map:
Nature's Prophet,
Ancient Apparition,
Zeus,
Invoker,
Treant Protector
* When Legion Commander uses
Duel on one Meepo, he can use his other Meepos to kill her. If he wasn't dueled, he can help the teammate who was duelled to give the teammate the damage instead of Legion Commander.
* However, if Legion Commander picked up an Aghanim's Scepter and she duels one Meepo, that might be the end of Meepo if Legion managed to gather enough damage from previous duels.
*
Earthbind disables Waveform, effectively keeping Morphling in place for an extended period of time, allowing Meepo to deal considerable damage with
Poof.
* Nature's Prophet's Nature's Call can destroy trees that Treant Protecter is hiding in, revealing him.
* Meepo is the hard counter for Queen of Pain - chaining
Earthbinds prevents her from using Blink for a long time, and without any other escape options, Queen of Pain cannot survive several
Poofs and attacks.
* Meepo tends to build items with attributes, mitigating Queen of Pain's magical burst.
Additional:
* Chain of Earthbinds prevents her from using
Blink, allowing Meepo to quickly kill her with Poof and attacks.
* Meepo tends to buy items with attributes, mitigating Queen of Pain's magical burst.
*
Poof from multiple Meepos will destroy illusions quickly.
*
Earthbind's area root can catch Phantom Lancer in a group of illusions and prevent him from using Doppelganger for a long time.
* Meepo aims to end the game as early as possible, while Phantom Lancer is a lategame hero.
* This also means that, in the late game, Meepo stands no chance against Phantom Lancer.
Additional:
* Poof will destroy Phantom Lancer's illusions within a short time.
* Earthbind prevents Phantom Lancer from using
Doppelganger.
*
Night Stalker's most skills are single targeted which allows other Meepos to Poof, Earthbind and kill him.
*
Meepo has a better advantage in farm with
Divided We Stand, as well as having a higher attack speed due to his tendency to build items that give attributes. In addition, Wraithfire Blast stuns only one target, and choosing to engage one Meepo will most certainly mean engaging them all.
* Heroes with high mobility can be prevented from using it to their advantage with Earthbind, even if they pack a dangerous arsenal:
Earth Spirit,
Ember Spirit,
Storm Spirit,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Assassin,
Riki,
Anti-Mage,
Weaver.
* See items and abilities disabled by roots
*
Arc Warden's Flux is meaningless against Meepo who loves to group up. Meepo is also a very good gap closer, so Arc Warden's Magnetic Field becomes useless.
Additional:
* Flux is severely impaired against Meepo because of
Divided We Stand.
* Meepo's farming speed and early powerspikes allows him to pressure Arc Warden before he is capable of fighting effectively.
* Without
Black King Bar,
Earthbind and
Poof can finish Arc Warden quickly before he has time to do much.
* Heroes who can summon illusions and summons because Terrorblade has no abilities to deal with multiple enemies at once outside Reflection:
Shadow Shaman,
Naga Siren,
Broodmother,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Chaos Knight,
Phantom Lancer,
Shadow Demon,
Dark Seer,
Nature's Prophet,
Invoker,
Morphling,
Visage,
Grimstroke with
Aghanim's Scepter.
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones:
Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Heroes that can quickly deal damage to her, regardless of how weak they are, can easily break through her Refraction:
* Multiple attackers thanks to summoned units or clones:
Meepo,
Witch Doctor,
Lycan,
Enigma,
Shadow Shaman
* Multiple attackers thanks to illusions:
Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Naga Siren (bonus for her
Ensnare). Also despite the visual effects, Templar Assassin does not spill damage against illusions or buildings, so she is not a really good hero to clean up illusions.
* Weak damage but high tick rate or persist in a long time:
Slark,
Gyrocopter,
Queen of Pain,
Shadow Shaman (
Shackles),
Jakiro,
Pugna,
Doom
* Heroes with high mobility can approach Sniper:
Anti-Mage,
Earth Spirit,
Io,
Nature's Prophet,
Pangolier,
Puck,
Queen of Pain and most notably
Riki.
* Heroes with high movement speeds like
Pugna and
Meepo can run around, to, or away from Snapfire during
Mortimer Kisses and dodge the projectiles easily due to their slow speed.
* Heroes with mobility spells (such as
Queen of Pain's
Blink and
Clockwerk with
Hookshot) can easily avoid
Lil' Shredder and
Mortimer Kisses.
* Heroes with high movement speeds like
Pugna and
Meepo can run around, to, or away from Snapfire during
Mortimer Kisses and dodge the projectiles easily due to their slow speed.
*
Skywrath Mage's abilities are single targeted and he can't use Mystic Flare to its fullest potential, since all Meepos spread the damage between them. He also has no disables to prevent Meepo from Poofing to another one (unless he can get
Ancient Seal off first).
*
Lifestealer is not affected by Earthbind or Poof during
Rage, making him a difficult target to work around.
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities:
Sven,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
*
Lifestealer's Rage and Open wounds become useless when Meepo has 4 or more clones, as Ransack will heal Meepo too quickly for Lifestealer to take down.
*
Chaos Knight,
Lone Druid,
Meepo and
Arc Warden can be hard targets since Shadow Demon's spells are ill-suited to fight many enemies at once.
Additional:
* Poof will destroy Shadow Demon's illusions created by
Disruption and quickly escapes from
Shadow Poison &
Demonic Purge.
*
Pugna's Nether Ward doesn't really hurt Meepo since he usually buys attribute items to tank up and can be killed very quickly by 4 clones. Decrepify can amplify Poof's damage should Pugna use it to avoid Meepo's right clicking.
* Heroes with plenty of summons, such as
Broodmother or
Nature's Prophet can have their minions soak up most of your Paralyzing Cask.
* Anti-Mage's high mobility from Blink and tendency to build
Battle Fury makes him strong against split-pushing heroes:
Nature's Prophet,
Tinker, and
Arc Warden.
* Multiple
Earthbinds allows Meepo to lock down Anti-Mage almost indefinitely.
* Meepo's clones can only use their mana for
Poof, keeping their mana pool nearly full and thus making them a bad target for a Mana Void.
Additional:
* Earthbind can prevent Anti-Mage from using
Blink, allowing Meepo to kill him with attacks and Ransack.
* Heroes with invisibility: (
Riki,
Clinkz,
Nyx Assassin.
* Root is a deadly threat to Riki, disabling both
Blink Strike and
Tricks of the Trade while making him fully revealed, making
Earthbind a good ability against him.
*
Smoke Screen may not be able to silence all the Meepo clones.
* Riki has no true area damage, as
Tricks of the Trade's damage is distributed between all Meepo clones, so he cannot effectively fight Meepo or deal with his strong ability to push unless Riki has
Battle Fury.
*
Enchantress's
Untouchable slows down Meepos attacks and
Impetus can deal heavy pure damage to a single Meepo, however once Meepo has closed the gap she is an easy target for Poof.
*
Meepo can quickly kill Enchantress with a
Poof combo, rendering Untouchable useless.
*
Void Spirit can dodge Earthbind with
Dissimilate and
Astral Step, giving him a good chance to escape. If he gets caught anyways,
Resonant Pulse allows him to retaliate.
* Meepo's
Earthbind can easily lockdown Void Spirit.
* Meepo and his clones can easily burst Void Spirit's
Resonant Pulse.
* Heroes who can provide True Sight or semi-reveal enemy heroes as Nature's Prophet is prone to buying
Shadow Blade:
Bounty Hunter,
Slardar,
Spectre,
Zeus,
Spirit Breaker.
* Thundergod's Wrath strikes only the first Meepo.
* Zeus has low mobilty so consecutive
Earthbinds are easy to hit and he'll quickly die from
Poofs.
* Nature's Prophet's low mobility and health pool allow Phantom Assassin to destroy him in the early game.
* Phantom Strike allows Phantom Assassin to jump in and out of
Sprout, provided she has vision.
* Heroes with illusions and summons can be hard for Phantom Assassin to deal with, as she lacks any AoE abilities to deal with them without items:
Broodmother,
Phantom Lancer,
Chaos Knight,
Lycan,
Naga Siren,
Shadow Shaman,
Visage,
Nature's Prophet,
Terrorblade,
Warlock,
Wraith King.
* Heroes that can apply early pressure before Phantom Assassin has farm are massive threats:
Axe,
Viper,
Meepo,
Jakiro,
Pugna,
Slark,
Venomancer etc.
* Mass Serpent Ward can kill lots of treants if played defensively.
* Mass Serpent Ward, Hex, and Shackles can catch and kill a Nature's Prophet trying to use Teleportation.
Additional:
* Shadow Shaman's
Mass Serpent Ward together with
Ether Shock can easily kill lots of Treants if played defensively.
*
Hex and
Shackles can disrupt Nature's Prophet's escape attempts with Teleportation.
* With all 5 Meepos available, all of Shaman's wards will be disposed of very quickly.
* All of Shaman's disables are based around single target control, and he can at most only disable two Meepos, allowing the rest to easily lay waste to him, be it during the channel duration of
Shackles or by using
Earthbind.
* Broodmother can destroy Nature's Prophet's Treants with
Spawn Spiderlings and summon spiderlings in their place.
* Broodmother loves buying
Orchid Malevolence, which can prevent Nature's Prophet from escaping with Sprout and Teleportation.
Additional:
*
Sprout cannot protect Nature's Prophet if Broodmother puts down a web.
* Nature's Prophet's low mobility means he is defenseless against Silken Bola.
* Spiderlings can absorb much of the damage from
Wrath of Nature.
*
Aghanim's Scepter gives Broodmother access to
Spinner's Snare, which allows her to create invisible lines on her webs from
Spin Web that will root Nature's Prophet, deal damage over time to Nature's Prophet and reveal Nature's Prophet if he unwittingly steps on them, disrupting his attempts to perform surprise attacks on Broodmother's allies with
Silver Edge and also prevent him from using
Silver Edge to esacape, while also alerting Broodmother on his attempts to ambush her and her allies.
*
Earthbind prevents Broodmother from escaping Meepo's attacks.
*
Poof will quickly clear any nearby spiders.
* Broodmother often picks off single target heroes. With Meepo's
Divided We Stand, it gets a lot harder once every Meepo Poofs in.
*
Poof combo puts all of the Meepos very close together, making them vulnerable to Frost Blast's AoE slow and multiple bounces from Chain Frost.
* Chain Frost can bounce to the treants that Nature's Prophet summons.
* Nature's Prophet's
Sprout can be used to isolate and burst down the squishy Lich.
Additional:
* His treants can prevent
Chain Frost from jumping to Nature's Prophet or his allies.
*
Ball Lightning can be used to clear Nature's Prophet's Treants and easily destroys Sprout.
*
Electric Vortex prevents Nature's Prophet's escaping using Teleportation.
* Earthbind, like any root, inhibits usage of
Ball Lightning, eliminating Storm Spirit's mobility.
* Spirit Breaker can chase Nature's Prophet from anywhere on the map with
Charge of Darkness, making it hard for Nature's Prophet to split-push.
*
Charge of Darkness and
Nether Strike gives vision of Nature's Prophet when he tries to Sprout himself and teleport away.
Additional:
* Charge of Darkness allows Spirit Breaker to catch Nature's Prophet out when he tries to split push.
* Nature's Prophet can't hide in his
Sprout against Spirit Breaker, as his Charge of Darkness provides vision on its target.
* Spirit Breaker can easily cancel Nature's Prophet's
Teleportation.
* Heroes who can stun multiple units at once:
Dark Willow,
Spirit Breaker,
Slardar,
Invoker, and
Tidehunter.
* Heroes with summons and illusions as Spirit Breaker has no strong AoE capabilities to deal with them:
Chaos Knight,
Phantom Lancer,
Terrorblade,
Naga Siren,
Broodmother,
Warlock,
Visage,
Nature's Prophet,
Shadow Shaman,
Lycan,
Wraith King.
*
Earthbind's root prevents/interrupts Charge of Darkness.
* As a single-target focused hero without much damage output, Spirit Breaker is ineffective in general against Meepo.
*
Shadow Step's low cooldown allows Spectre to teleport to him whenever he decides to push.
*
Spectral Dagger allows Spectre to go through Sprout's trees and stun Nature's Prophet if she has a
Skull Basher or
Abyssal Blade.
* Spectre loves buying
Radiance, which can kill Nature's Prophet's Treants easily.
Additional:
* Spectre can get to him anywhere on the map with
Haunt.
* Spectre can pass through his trees with
Spectral Dagger.
*
Desolate's damage will melt him quickly, as he's alone most of the time.
*
Poof combined with
Earthbind can be used to easily lockdown and burst Spectre down.
* As Meepo's playstyle is often to come online early to mid game and take over the whole game, Meepo will often be much further ahead of Spectre in farming.
* Meepo's global map presence allows him to effectively hunt for Spectre and disrupt her farm.
* Spectre has no strong AOE abilities or way to control or lock down Meepo.
*
Alchemist gets a huge amount of additional gold from killing Nature's Prophet's treants thanks to
Greevil's Greed.
Additional:
* Acid Spray and Greevil's Greed will quickly destroy pushes with treants.
* Because of his poor movement speed,Alchemist can catch up and kill him with Chemical Rage.
* Sprout is good for trapping melee carries with no escape abilities:
Sven,
Alchemist,
Lifestealer etc.
* Pounce also stops
Nature's Prophet's
Teleportation.
*
Slark's Dark Pact and Pounce can deny only one Earthbind and Poof can penetrate Shadow Dance if he doesn't build Black King Bar.
Additional:
*
Earthbind and
Poof will still hit Slark in Shadow Dance.
* Dark Pact can only remove one
Earthbind.
*
Ransack will still affect Slark, even if he has a
Black King Bar.
* Low-health, normally mobile carries who rely entirely on raw attack damage are vulnerable to Bane's nukes and disables:
Anti-Mage,
Clinkz,
Drow Ranger,
Faceless Void,
Gyrocopter,
Juggernaut,
Meepo,
Mirana,
Monkey King,
Morphling,
Phantom Assassin,
Phantom Lancer,
Riki,
Shadow Fiend,
Slark,
Sniper,
Terrorblade,
Troll Warlord,
Weaver.
* Heroes with illusions and summons can swarm and overwhelm Bane, who has no area abilities to deal with them outside from
Aghanim's Shard upgraded
Brain Sap:
Broodmother,
Chaos Knight,
Naga Siren,
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Lancer,
Terrorblade,
Visage,
Warlock,
Wraith King.
* Because only one clone needs to be killed in order to kill Meepo, heroes that excel at singling out enemies can also be a detriment to him, such as
Batrider,
Beastmaster,
Pudge and
Clockwerk.
* Heroes with many summons or illusions are much harder to catch with Meat Hook:
Nature's Prophet,
Phantom Lancer,
Chen.
* Heroes that have AoE damage:
Lina,
Keeper of the Light,
Timbersaw,
Leshrac,
Bristleback,
Axe.
* Heroes that can jump and kill him:
Meepo,
Clinkz,
Templar Assassin
* Nature's Prophet treants can be cleared by Ignite or Multicast
Hand of Midas
* Fireblast and Unrefined Fireblast prevents Nature's Prophet from using
Teleportation.
* Ogre Magi has single-targeted magical-only damage and disables and is less effective against Meepo's clones.
*
Moon Glaives and
Lunar Blessing help Luna quickly kill Nature's Prophet's treants.
* Luna can easily cancel Teleportation with her
Lucent Beam.
* Even though Nature's Prophet can evade all of Luna's abilities with
Shadow Blade, a smart Luna will always buy
Dust of Appearance to provide vision on Shadow Fiend to her and her team.
Additional:
*
Moon Glaives and
Lunar Blessing help Luna quickly kill Nature's Prophet's treants.
Aghanim's Shard upgraded
Moon Glaives can also reduce damage Nature's Prophet will inflict on Luna while they are active.
* Luna can easily cancel Teleportation with her
Lucent Beam.
* Even though Nature's Prophet can evade all of Luna's abilities with
Shadow Blade, a smart Luna will always buy
Dust of Appearance to provide vision on Nature's Prophet to her and her team.
* Illusions and summons are double-edge sword type of matchup for Luna. On one hand, they can tank damage from Eclipse, but on the other hand, she can easily clear them before Eclipse with Moon Glaives. Examples include
Spectre,
Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade) or bring other units into the fight (such as
Nature's Prophet,
Lone Druid,
Chen,
Enchantress,
Meepo and
Arc Warden).
* Heroes that create illusions:
Spectre,
Shadow Demon,
Phantom Lancer,
Naga Siren,
Chaos Knight,
Terrorblade) or bring other units into the fight (such as
Nature's Prophet,
Lone Druid,
Chen,
Enchantress,
Meepo and
Arc Warden) can cause Eclipse to strike the illusions/summons unintentionally. However, in many cases Moon Glaives can resolve this issue and eliminate them before activating Eclipse, but that will require lots of farming for right-click items.
* Even though Moon Glaives can bounce between Meepo and his clones, Meepo can tank Eclipse because of his clones.
*
Earthbind takes away Luna's mobility advantage.
* Meepo can shutdown Luna's split-push ability with his global presence.

Nature's Prophet
* All three of Timbersaw’s abilities give him an easy way out of Sprout, and can also destroy nearby trees so Nature's Prophet can’t spawn Treants.
Whirling Death damage as well.
Chakram heavily discourages teleports.
Sprout, making it very difficult for Nature's Prophet to teleport away or trap enemies.
Reactive Armor negates most of the damage of Nature's Prophet's treants, and Timbersaw can often allow himself to be attacked in order to heal himself.
* If Prophet tries to escape with a self Sprout/Teleport, Timbersaw can easily cut down all its trees to get to him and deal increased
*
* Timbersaw is quite well suited to clearing massive waves of Treants almost instantly with all of his area of effect pure damage abilities, preventing Nature's Prophet from pushing.
* Treants can give Reactive Armor many charges quite quickly.
Additional:
* Timbersaw can easily cut down trees from
* Timbersaw's abilities quickly clear out treants.
*
Meepo
* Because multiple Meepos tend to clump up, they present an easy target for Timbersaw's many area abilities.
Timber Chain to escape if rooted from
Earthbind.
* Although be careful since Timbersaw cannot use
